Rusla doesn't get quite as much vox time as Urracá,
but plz don't think she's any less cute and interesting for that.
It's just that Rusla almost always does the exact same things every day,
so apart from the odd funny sleeping posture, there's not much to report.
....
however!
lately there have been LOADS of Rusla news...
and I have failed to report them as they happened...
so let me start with the beginning:
Dee EGG
Once every five year or thereabouts Rusla lays eggs...
she's only done it three times, so I dunno how regular it really is...
first time she laid 3, and after that she's just laid one each time.
This is what a tortoise egg looks like

She doesn't make a big deal out of it...
no digging nests or anything.
She just plops it out somewhere and immediately steps on it, so it breaks...
but since it's not fertilized, I don't blame her for the carelessness.
It made her really thirsty and she went and had a good long drink after laying the egg,
and had a proper bath too.
The bath tub is handmade, stoneware, specially designed for her
- after her detailed instructions obviously.
I pressed some rippled cardboard into the soft clay to make the bottom
so it wouldn't be slippery and give her better traction.

in part two, Rusla hears the calling of Mother Nature and goes off on a mission...
